This tree stands along-side the sugar cane fields beneath the West Maui Mountains.
It was late afternoon as the sun rays peaked through the openings of clouds to produce some dramatic light.

I think that the shapes of the tree and clouds in addition to a good composition have made them very artistic. I like both pictures in black and white.
