Rural Ireland's Cows

There are beautiful green pastures and a few cows grazing on Ennistymon Rd - N67 - beside the roadside Famine Memorial.
It's only a short distance to the Cliffs of Moher from here.

Adare Heritage Center

Such cute umbrellas!
I like the cows☔️🐮🌂

These girls shared a cute umbrella!

It really poured for about a half hour while we shopped inside.
And then the sun came out!

Adare - A Walk in the Park

A Walk in the Park
The city park in the center of Adare Village is very peaceful and beautiful place to spend some time. There are walking paths, benches, and open spaces for children to run and play. What I liked were the trees and  their interesting and colorful bark.
There were a whole lot of trees!
A light rain started to fall so we moved on across the street to the Adare Heritage Center to do a little shopping.
That's when the rain got some serious attitude!

Adare - Main Street

A few photos on Main Street in Adare Village, County  Limerick, Ireland.

Somehow I have my doubts!

Simply charming!

Two shots of the same barrels!

Adare - Pat Collins Bar

We were hungry and randomly walked into Pat Collins Pub for some late lunch.
We made the right choice!
I ordered the Irish Stew, Jerry chose Fish and Chips and Sally picked Sherperd's Pie.
We were NOT disappointed!
The food was delicious and the beer was cold and wonderful!

How could we not walk into this pub!
It was so inviting.

We sat at the bar just because it felt right!

Adare Village Fire 2015

A fire broke out in Adare Village in the early afternoon  on June 6, 2015. It burned two thatched cottages just as a wedding was starting across the street at the Holy Trinity Abbey.
One cottage has been restored, the other still sits in disrepair in July, 2017.

Adare - Thatched Cottages and Gardens

This is the pretty little village of Adare in County Clare, Ireland.

The thatched cottages are absolutely charming.
Some are homes and others are shops.

The cone flowers are the winners for me but I think my friend, Sally, likes the daisies.

So very pretty!

Killaloe - River Shannon Cruise - Part 3

The homes are beautiful, everything is so clean and tidy...everything!

We are back at the docking area in Killaloe.
It was a wonderful way to spend about an hour.
It sure looks like it's going to rain!

Killaloe - Cruising the River Shannon - Part 2

The River Shannon becomes a lake (Lough Derg) about a half hour from where we began in Killaloe.

Breathtaking Scenery

We are turning around and heading back to the beginning.

Beautiful homes!

Killaloe - River Shannon Cruise - Part 1

We cruised on the River Shannon for about an hour. The views were spectacular!

The water was perfect for some nice reflections.

Our boat driver wears a jacket. It was a chilly and cloudy day. I was wishing I had brought a jacket instead of just a sweatshirt.
It was breezy on the boat!

There are small  boat docks with some nice boats along the way.

Very nice river-side homes too!

The River Shannon originates from the Shannon Pot which is an underground cave. The water emerges from a 2m fissure and travels 360.5 km (224 miles) to the Atlantic Ocean.
The River Shannon is the longest river in Ireland.
