Blue Monday, Mellow Yellow, My World Tuesday / Bald Eagles of Alaska

Just a few of the Bald Eagles I enjoyed while in Alaska last week!
This guy is guarding the nest...

This is the same bird as above but much later...the joy of the "midnight sun" in Alaska!

Dinner is served!!!
I saw these and many others at Kachemak Bay, Homer, Alaska.

Are you in Alaska now? My cousins live in Anchorage, but have a cabin out somewhere....??? Our kids went up there last summer and caught salmon and halibut! Beautiful photos of the eagles. We saw two of them in Yosemite (east entrance), by Tioga Lake. My photos weren't as close as yours! My car door wouldn't open and I had to scramble out and grab my camera as they were flying away! DARN! Did you see my blog with the Tehachapi loop?

Awesome! I've only seen one bald eagle and it was very far away. Alaska seems like such a beautiful and amazing place!

Great captures, Carolyn - the last one is awesome !

I haven`t seen bald eagles since we lived out west near Calgary - they passed our place on their way to the mountains.

Carolyn,
Waht a majestic and divine bird!! I thought it must have been rare chance to see the bird in person, but you saw these and many others. How lucky you were!! Thank you for sharing.
Have a great week!

I was guessing Homer (the trees looked right) before I got to your last shot, it's a great place to see them.

That last photo is fantastic!

Wow! You got a great chance of photographing a bald eagle especially in the last photo! I hear that there are not many wild bald eagles in North America!
