We were out walking in the early morning when we came upon this man net fishing along the Esplanade in Cairns, Queensland, Australia.
He tossed his net over and over...and, nothing!
We moved on and came upon this man.
He wasn't taking any chances with his cooler!

Oh my goodness, I think I would be looking for another place to fish. Maybe he was afraid the croc would get his cooler? I love those sunbeams coming over the mountain.
Very special to fish like this..? I think. But you got some great shots!
Hope you have a happy time over there.
Best wishes from Tania:-)
WHOA! That sign sure is scary!
Wow! Crocodiles! I wouldn't go fishing or do anything else for that matter :o)
Great shots ... gorgeous light. I hope you'll have a safe weekend!

Nice shots! love the rays...and the net in mid air is a good catch. Wonder what they're fishing for so close to shore....
Yikes! Talk about dedication to fishing ;-)
The pictures are all wonderful. i have seen people do fishing back in our home country.
Lesson to be learned: Read the signs!
Happy Blue Monday, Carolyn. Be sure to check out my book giveaway.
I think sometimes people see the signs but tend to ignore them.
I so Love casting a net! Thanks for these awesome shots!

Amazing how many people never read the signs!! Terrific captures as always, Carolyn, but these guys just might want to find another place to fish!! Hope you have a great week!

Beautiful photos - it looked like paradise until I saw the sign in that last shot!
Great shots. I'm glad you didn't see a crocodile remind him of the warning.
What a neat series, looks relaxing. Until you catch a croc. Thanks for sharing, have a great week!
I believe even you were closer than I would have felt comfortable.
Stopping by from Blue Monday.
That's a sign that would keep me out of the water.
Casting the net is a kind of skill! Great captures of the act.
I love your observation of the fisherman. Great photos too!
It's so amazing the way people think they're immune to danger. Crocodiles, that's pretty scary stuff, maybe that's why he's keeping the cooler nearby to beat it off if one appears. Love the top two images Carolyn, the sun coming over the mountain is beautiful.
Beautiful photos.. Nice shots!
Visiting for Blue Monday- hope you can stop by:)
