The Wurstelprater - Vienna, Austria

This is one of two ferris wheels at the Wurstelprater Amusement Park in Vienna, Austria.
It looked GREAT against a very blue sky!

This is the other...called the Riesenrad Ferris wheel.
It is the most recognizable attraction at the park.
Erected in 1897 to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of  Emperor Franz Joseph, it ranks among the world's oldest and largest ferris wheels, reaching a height of 65 meters.

This is the Riesenrad from another perspective.

What wonderful looking ferris wheels. But I have to be honest, I couldn't ride them. They would scare me to death. - Margy

Very cool! I love ferris wheels and saw a terrific one while in India that turned due to the man walking in the middle of it! :)
