I love the way the light shines through some of the petals, while others are shadowed!

Must be the time of year for the Sunflowers to come out in some places. This one's great and I also saw some beauties at The Frog and the PenquINN. I love sunflowers.

I first became attracted to sunflowers when I first saw fields and fields of them planted as crops in south Georgia. As I went to work in the morning they faced away from the road, and on the way home, they face me. Great shot.

Isn't it a bit too late to plant sunflowers now? I hope you get 8 inch wide sunflowers and tons of seeds.

I often plant things too late, and the erratic weather ruins my plans.
