The reflections on these water drops remind me of sugar...maybe I'm just hungry???
I put a red and white polka-dot towel underneath a glass plate lined with waxed paper.
I put a red and white polka-dot towel underneath a glass plate lined with waxed paper.
I sprinkled water droplets across the plate trying to not allow them to blend together.
A little side lighting, 60mm macro lens and a long exposure created this "master-piece."
Okay...not a master-piece but, it was fun!
One idea leads to the next...more colorful background next time and a lot more water droplets!

Cool.
Great! It is a mater-piece. It is worth to be on the top page of Fotblur.
That's a cool way to get your watery shots and very creative. If you do a lot more water drops next time you'll probably have to have more space or they will run together like you didn't want. Keep playing and having Phun with it.
great effect...why do I never think of things like that? lol
I won't have guessed if you never told.
Great idea.
Pretty creative! Makes a pretty photo.

It's fun to experiment and share our technique.
So pretty!

Your experiment came out great as well as very artistic!
What a cool shot! I especially like the tiny reflections!
master piece indeed, great shot carolyn
I really like the results of your experiment Carolyn. The towel really gave it an interesting background.
very cool shot, Carolyn. Loving the textures you got in this one!
So much fun Carolyn. I love your photo tips -- like a painless and beautiful photography class. (One might even guess that you'd been a teacher in a past life ;>))). Great job!
