Camera Critters #81 / Pelican

I saw this pelican hopping around from boat to boat and was finally able to get a photo of it on October 20, 2009...This was at the Cabrillo Marina in San Pedro, California...part of the Port of Los Angeles.

Cool capture of the Pelican. It must have been fun to watch it hopping form boat to boat.

Fascinating image! Living in the desert, I don't see pelicans very often. The view must be great for the bird from way up there.

Pelicans look like such characters. I would love to watch them if only they lived here.

This is a wonderful capture, landing with wings outstretched. Beautiful.

Wonderful. I love Pelicans. I always see at least one brown pelican when we visit Galveston Island.

We don't have wild pelicans here in Japan though I'd like to shoot them, too.

Great capture Carolyn, those wings are impressive. I love watching the pelicans any time we are at the ocean.
