Scenic Sunday / Snowy Mountains

Yesterday was the first day after our week long rain storms.
Our local mountains were quite an amazing picture.
It's difficult to get a good shot of them without something obstructing the "perfect" view.
The local airport has a nice clearing behind it without annoying buildings or towers of some sort.

I drove up the mountain road for a short distance to get a closer look.

Both photographs of the mountain landscape is gorgeous; however, my favorite is the first one .. lots more contrasts there -- e.g., the airplane and the dark clouds.

The small plane added more drama to the view. This afternoon, I just saw small patches of snow, the 70 degree weather and the sun must have melted it away!

P.S. Please check your email, I have sent you the link for photomerge.

They are so beautiful! I was mad because I really wanted to take some picturres of the snow covered mountains but the only time I saw them was on the way to the airport and I didn't have time. They sure looked wonderful though.
