Weekend Reflections / Puddles From the Big Storm!

I took my little grandson and my dog for a walk this week whenever the rain "halted" for a little while.  The puddles around were full of reflections of the trees standing tall above them.
This tree has finally shed the last of its colorful fall leaves (in the middle of January).
The first photo shows that there were no rain drops...the second meant we had better get back home since my little grandson was more interested in running than carrying his umbrella.
We made it before we got too wet.
But, it was fun!
It reminded me of my younger day when getting soaked was what it was all about!

Hi Carolyn -- those puddles are almost Texas sized. And very unusual for California I hear.

Thanks for peeking in at us old guys. You have a nice blog with neat pictures. I liked the idea of the fellow with his dog in plastice wraps. Good photo.
..
BTW, I only post about three times a week. Right now my other blog only gets a poem or two on Sundays.

it is so natural but looks like an abstract - the lines and curves are in great harmony. The red leaves makes the color pallet a classic! Very creative and beautiful shot!

Those are beautiful reflections! It's amazing with such little water but hold such large beauty!

Rainy season (sometimes) is one the best opportunities of taking reflection shots. Cool photos!

I like the first photograph. The water appears vertical, rather than flat. Cool-looking picture!

Great reflections, and I love the contrast of the colorful leaves against the gray water and curb. Nice catch, and it is fun to play in the rain sometimes, isn't it? Kathy
