These lamps are part of the 202 lamp posts that make up the Urban Lamp Sculpture at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
It's amazing to see day or night but, when lighted they are spectacular!
Children and adults like to run around chasing each other.
This little guy is running from his daddy!
There was quite a nice sky from this angle.
I wish I could have gotten on a roof for another perspective...but...

Wow! Very stunning! Love to see this in person!:)
Cool shots you got here! I bet they look good as well in person. :)
This would be magical to see, day or night. I wish we had more decorative lamp posts today.
This is awesome! Never seen anything like it. Your photos of the display are terrific. Each one shows a different side!
I'd like to know why anyone would think of making 203 huge street lamps. How would you know ahead of time how beautiful they'd be against a darkening sky? I guess artists don't think the way I do. ;~)
I love the last two shots of them, but it's interesting to see them beside people (large and small).

Happy Blue Monday, Carolyn! Check out my book giveaway.
I like the last photo the best, but I laughed when I read that you wanted to get on a roof for another perspective.

Look is disceiving. With out photo two, you think they are small lamps.
Did they have a pattern? I mean if you look from above t, what do they look like?
These are awesome. A great idea.

WOW! Spectacular, indeed!
Great shots Carolyn! And I like that you included the one with the little guy and dad... good perspective to see the size of the lamps. ~Karen
Very cool shots!
Very unusual as a sculpture! Especially love the last 3 shots:)
That is fascinating. It is so cool you can interact with the sculpture like that too. It must be very cool to see it in person.
What an amazing exhibit. I didn't even notice the tiny people in the first shot so I was pleasantly surprised to see how tall these things really are in the second one! Great captures.
A very beautiful display of lamps! Love all the different perspectives you have captured! The second last one is like a fascinating tall forest of lamps!
I hadn't heard of this place before, and I think it looks super cool. A great place to run away from daddy!
That is so cool! I like these shots. I bet it was fun taking them. :)
I love the perspectives of the second and fourth shots!
