For one reason or another, I have missed my ABC Wednesday posts for several weeks.
This post will include the letters J, K, L and M for this week.
This post will include the letters J, K, L and M for this week.
My husband and I took a road trip across Arizona and into New Mexico to attend the Albuquerque International Balloon Festival.
There will be a lot of balloons in this post!
A very cute balloon from Japan came all the way to Albuquerque, New Mexico USA.
With about 700 balloons at Balloon Fiesta Park, they were jammed together while waiting to become air-borne.

All kinds of balloons...
and, all kinds of people!
It was such fun having these balloons launch right over our heads!
SO many balloons and SO many people!
The early morning light was fabulous!
Balloons and more balloons!
My husband is on the left enjoying the sky filled with colorful balloons.
Notice the people are looking in all directions, and still, they are not all launched!

Great shots Carolyn. There are so many balloons it would be hard to decide which way to point the camera next.
I love hot air balloons. We have a small festival here in the spring but I really want to get down to Albuquerque for this one someday.
They are so colorful, I like the Japanese one.
You didn't go up?
I was looking forward to seeing all the balloons! Wow! You didn't disappoint! So colorful and you got so many terrific shots. You must have been in photographer's paradise. Perfect blue skies to go along with all the primary colors...

It was tempting to say that this post was just a lot of hot air :-) , but in reality it was simply gorgeous.
Never seen so many hot air balloons.A lot of variety and very colorful too.
Great shots of all those balloons!
I agree that was a lot of balloons. I loved looking at the balloons you captured on your vacation.
A memorable event, to be sure. The mass of balloons is totally exciting and creative. The lady on land who moons adds a little madness. :) Fantastic photos!
Hi Carolyn, I was at he Balloon Festival too - it was a great weekend. We have many of the same shots. It's a fabulous place for photographers!
Wow! We have always wanted to be there for this Festival -- somehow it never seems to fit our travel schedule. so many lovely things to see and do in NM/AZ.
Both funny and cute! Here's mine http://thelunaticsdiary.blogspot.com/2010/10/mechas-mystical-creatures-and-bit-of.html

What great photos...they have a balloon festival nearby here every year...I have never been, but all those photos make me want to go next year!
Awesome colours, awesome balloons - so beautiful against that pure blue New Mexico sky ! Oh, and a few awesome people too ;-) Great shots Carolyn !
That us quite a collection of Hot Air Balloons... it's on my Bucket List.... ((smile))
My daughter is in Reno, NV doing her doctoral work and they had a large balloon race. I tried to get her to go and take pictures but she was busy. She said I would just have to fly out and take some myself... I wish!
There's so much variety and colors, I love them!
So many great shots Carolyn! Beautiful colors and shapes. Never seen anything like it. If i could, I would visit the festival.
Wish you a great day
Irene
Your husband did a great work with his camera, the pictures are wonderful, so many colorful and creative balloons!
Léia
Wonderful colors and photos! I like the hear balloon:-)
Wish you a nice day!
the 909 is perfect!
wonderfully fun, colorful and fantastic group of photos. Looks like you had a grand time!
Very colorful balloons.
Great photos, Carolyn! What a colorful series of shots!
What awesome fun. They have a small balloon fest each year here at Antelope Island State Park, but the timing is always bad for me and I think they're lucky if they get 30 or 40 balloons, nothing like the 700 that you saw. That would be a blast.
I would like seeing all the balloons IRL. So great photos!
Thank you for commenting on my blog and informing "your" balloon festival. And sorry for commenting on this relatively old entry...
This is a great series of photos. A lot of balloons, with a lot of colors, and variety of shapes!
I can tell that you and your husband had a lot of fun!!
I am glad to fine a cute balloon from Japan:)
