Cheerful triptych of mums, Carolyn. Funny, I don't know the first thing about flower names, but I never thought of these as mums. My limited view of mums are these boring white and yellow flowers I associate with funerals. These, however, would brighten up such a sad occasion.
These mums are a bold ruby and so alive as its leaves are fully opened...
Our mums have had it in the colder New England climate. So your capture is a perfect reminder of early autumn and temperate climate up here. A nice ruby!
Mums are so deceptively pretty. They seem so ordinary at first and then you enjoy them for a while and because they last so long, you realize just how beautiful they are.
