Monochrome Weekend / Dead Tree in the Rocks, Joshua Tree National Park, California USA

This dead tree adds to the spectacular scenes out in Joshua Tree National Park.
Notice a little bit of life emerging from between the rocks on the right.

The bare branches of the tree reminded me of a growing fractal pattern. Set against the bare rock it held a surrealistic impression for me.

A well balanced monochrome, and the tree has so many wonderful patterns. I like it.

Great perspective, the tree is perfect for monochrome. I do see the tiny bit of life between the rocks.

Is a dramatic photo, Carolyn. The West is so full of Nature's beauty - awesome and dramatic. Such wealth.
