There are few motorized vehicles on the Aran Islands, especially on the smallest island, Inisheer.

Locals and tourists get around by horse, horse and carriage, bicycles and by walking.

We chose horse and carriage and walking.

Renting a bike would be fun...next time!

 ...and, the magnificent Lake Wakatipu is a glorious sight!

 

 

 Some come up the mountain with their own feet only and others bring bicycles.

The 7th stage of the Tour of California Cycling Race started in our local area (Claremont, California).

Whoa...do they fly by FAST!
...and this guy isn't even in the race!

...nor this guy!
I tried some panning shots with a slow shutter speed for extra effect!

 READY, SET, GO!!!
It was an amazing rush to see the start!

 They sped by SO quickly!
I wanted to get back to my car and dash to another location where they would pass, but, it is impossible because of the huge crowds lining the streets.
You pick one spot and that is all you get.
It's over in a flash!
