About Me

My Photo
California, United States
I am a retired middle school teacher (math and science). I love to photograph beautiful places, people, animals and objects of art. My picture shows me holding my 1st grandson. We are at San Diego's Wild Animal Park. He is looking at the big gorilla behind us! We enjoy going places while his mommy and daddy work.

Photostory Friday, The World in Black and White / Promenade Artist

This photograph was taken in Santa Monica at the 3rd Street Promenade. It's a great place to walk, shop, maybe eat, enjoy street musicians and then...people watch. In other words, don't forget your camera! I took this photo in color but converted it to black and white. I'm not sure which version I like best, so I am posting both.

Great post! I wonder how much he charges for a portrait? Must be making a good living!

I like both photos, each has a different feel. Black and white brings out details that sometimes we miss with color. It's always fun to experiment.
