Camera Critters #79 / Peacock at Oak Glen, California

This beauty and many others are at Oak Glen, California. The tail feathers belong to a different bird that raced around and was quite a challenge to photograph. At least I got the tail!

He's a beauty. I too was at the zoo today (albeit clear across the world) and snapped a few peacocks of my own :).

Love the colors of the bird. I've always wanted to raise them, but they are about $300 a pair to get here. A little too rich for my blood!

I don't think I've ever noticed that orange coloring before.
The feathers with eyes is pretty cool too. :)
Nice shots Carolyn!

Peacocks are so gorgeous but incredibly noisy! Beautiful shots.

He is a handsome fellow, he will be breaking some peahen hearts. I love the shot of the tail, these guys can move fast.
