This photograph was taken in Santa Monica at the 3rd Street Promenade. It's a great place to walk, shop, maybe eat, enjoy street musicians and then...people watch. In other words, don't forget your camera! I took this photo in color but converted it to black and white. I'm not sure which version I like best, so I am posting both.

This is another one of those gorgeous sights of bursting light rays! This is the kind of sky that leaves me completely awe-struck! And, the reflection in the windows just adds more elegance from Mother Nature.
I am a new member of a black and white meme as of today. I am really excited about being a part of their blog roll. It is called, "The World in Black and White. "This photograph is also posted with them. There are a lot of fabulous black and whites posted there! Check them out by clicking here!

I'm not sure if these are sparkly or shiny, but, I do know they are distracting!
Distracted by Shiny Things
This U.S. Marine was over-seeing the U.S. Navy Hovercraft as it was preparing to move out to the open ocean from the beach at Oceanside, California on September 20, 09.

ABC Wednesday / "J" is for JET
This is Air Force One at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California. It is a "707 jet" used by Former President Ronald Reagan during his U.S. Presidency. This plane served seven U.S. Presidents from 1973-2001. (Nixon, Carter, Ford, Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Clinton, George W. Bush)
My husband and I spent an afternoon visiting the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in late August. The highlight was to walk through this historical "jet."
I can't imagine why this friendly looking little boat is empty! We enjoyed admiring it on East Beach, Santa Barbara, California last Saturday evening.
This is a scene of East Beach in Santa Barbara on September 19, 09. It was about 6 p.m. and the fog was moving inland off the ocean. It created a wonderful light show for sunset and Watery Wednesday!
This Day Lily grows in my front yard...no sign of autumn here...our lilies still think it is summer with the 102° we're having these days in southern California! In fact...elementary schools in my area are keeping the students inside the classrooms all day today. It's way too hot for their recess or lunch time outside. That makes really happy teachers!
Mellow Yellow Monday
Monday, September 21, 2009
I've been noticing a whole lot of yellow and red these days! I collected these photos, easily, around just a small area of my town. I guess that's why...we notice it?!
This marine was watching over the U.S. Naval Hovercraft as it was preparing to depart from the beach to the ocean. You can see more about the hovercraft by going to my "That's My World Tuesday" post.
