You found a great spot for that shot, and I see you have been having fun with your new lens while I've been off the web. It looks like the north is due for yet another storm next week, maybe it will make it all the way to you. The garden loves it but it keeps me off the bike.
The pool or the Pacific - the views of either compete for our attention. I would go with the pool, not only does it have great shadows, but a sun king as well. Still, the cold ocean has its visual charms also,,,

Oh, BTW, I was wrong, South Coast Botanic Garden is located in Palos Verdes, I was a bit confused because I had a meeting in the afternoon in Torrance.

What a beautiful shadow shot! I love the ocean in the background. I think I would rather go exploring there, though, instead of sitting by the pool.
Beautiful pool! It takes me a minute to adjust my eyes to look for the shadows, but that is what is fantastic about the shot!
