SkyWatch Friday and Looking at the Sky on Friday / Flower Fields, Carlsbad Ranch, California USA

I took a day trip, yesterday, to the Flower Fields in Carlsbad Ranch, California.
There are 50+ acres of rows and rows and rows of the Giant Tecolote Ranunculus.
You can pay an additional $5 to take a ride on this tractor drawn wagon through the fields.

The flowers are arranged in alternating colors and then there are rows of mixed colors.
There are still a lot of buds on these plants...
The best is yet to come!

I do want to go back in the later part of the day to get the "nice" light.
These were taken in the early afternoon...a bit harsh for photos.
The red and yellow were a feast to the eyes!

There was a beautiful BLUE SKY!

My but I would love to see this garden. I would probably have a heart attack as I am not sure I could handle so much beauty. I never knew there was such a place. Wish I had known about it early in life and visited.

What a beautiful farm! I generally imagine food crops on a big tract as this, but never considered a flower farm. Under a glorious sun, the colors range from bold to subtle as we see row and row of beauty. The Golden State is of many other hues, too!

great skies over the farmlands.

And. no. I got no rain that day. I made it to the bridge before it started :)

What a beautiful array of colors!!! I can't wait for all the flowers and leaves to be back here, we already have a nice bunch of early (very early) spring flowers out though, so it really gets us impatient for all out blooms!
