Weekend Reflections / Barker Dam at Joshua Tree National Park, California USA

These reflections were taken at Barker Dam in the Joshua Tree National Park, California USA.
Barker Dam was built about 1900 to hold water for cattle and mining use.
The dam today forms a small rain-fed reservoir used by park wildlife.
Birds abound!
A one-mile loop trail gets you to this beautiful watery place, in a place you would never expect to find it.

oooh! I just had a blast perusing your pictures. I missed Barker Dam last time we went, and now I'm so sorry that we missed it - it's so pretty and the cacti flowers - what a bonus!!

Your Opteka fisheye looks awesome (I especially loved the pictures you took of the waves from the pier).

Fun fun. You take beautiful photos!

The first one the water looks so still and yet the next two the ripples just add a slight touch to these. Beautiful reflections my friend. Have a great weekend :)
