We spent nearly a week in Yosemite National Park a few weeks ago.
We got a room at the Yosemite View Lodge in El Portal, California, which is just 2 miles outside the west entrance to the national park.
This was our view of the Merced River from the inside of our room.
This is only 1/2 of the window.

We left it open a few inches at night so we could hear the thunderous sound of the water, even though the temperature was down in the 30's.
Sitting out on the balcony was heavenly.

Beautiful! Nice composition. I would have that window open also!
Gorgeous photo and I love the composition. It would have been great to fall asleep to the sound of the water.
Wish we could see more of Yosemite...
