Mellow Yellow, Ruby Tuesday, Blue Monday, Midweek Blues - Under a Pier

There were several pilings behind me as I took this photo because the tide was out so far.
It was a rather chilly day at the beach with a thick marine layer and wind.
But I think a bad day at the beach is still a very good day!

What an amazing mixture of colors and reflections as well. Great shot Carolyn, it is beautiful.

Your right, even a bad day at the beach is good.

I love these "under the pier" photos. You've really captured it well here.

The piers do sport a variety of colors, suitable to many memes!

Lovely photo - I love the perspective! I'm not too fond of cold beaches though! The remind me of Blackpool in the late 70s - grey and grim!

Great angle for this shot and nice colors! A bad day at the beach is better than a good day at work? (I liked my job when I worked, just glad I'm retired now) and glad you are too and glad you share your lovely pictures. It's coldish (for Florida) here now too!

The many hues on each piling of the pier is a neat archeology. It seems that each tide falls at a different height - with a different color. Like the rings of a tree, the differing look has its own story, too. Our imaginations are hard at work trying to fathom the stories behind the colors...

It is amazing how you can find something and take one shot to fit so many colors. Great showing.

You have the knack of turning any scene into a work of art.

Very nice. Somehow I like seeing the understructures of our modern life. Piers don't stand without support, and sometimes the bracing forms beautiful patterns.

You've made it look like an endless pier - great shot ! And wonderful colours in this - who would have thought the underside of a pier would be so colourful !
