Weekend Reflections - Cold Weather Fishing - Newport Pier, Newport Beach, California USA

Fishing on the Newport Pier, Newport Beach, California
It was cloudy, damp and cold yesterday at the beach but, sunny and warm 30 miles inland.
What a difference a few miles can make!

Those sea breezes definitely make a huge difference. Interesting that the guy in orange is blurred in the photo but fairly sharp in the reflection.

I just love the effect you were able to add to your picture... It makes it more dynamical.

Cool shot! I wonder what it would look like in black and white?

Did you say "cold" weather fishing? lol The low tonight in Newtown is supposed to be 9F and Sunday is dropping to 1F.

On Sunday my wife is going to OC for a week and it's supposed to be 77F.
We try to enjoy the cold and changing weather while we can before we end up back in California.

Have a great weekend!

Love the blur, then fairly clear reflections, excellent!

As others have said, it's great the way the people are blurred and their reflections are clearer.
Fascinating photo.

This is a great shot. I am wondering how you took this picture, like others said. Why the guy in orange is blurred in the photo but fairly sharp in the reflection!!Did you use a slow shutter when you took this snap shot?

Nice reflection -- I love to watch people fish off docks. Seems like fun until I try it, then I get bored.
