Blue Monday / Presidential Seal of the United States at the Richard Nixon Library, Yorba Linda, California

We visited the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Memorial on Wednesday of this past week. Our little grandson is fascinated with the colorful and shiny floor as we were ending our time there. This is a replica of the Presidential Seal of the United States.

Benches of the Week / Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Memorial

We visited the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Memorial yesterday. The gardens and memorial site have many nice benches for those needed solitary moments that creep up on us. I photographed the two benches in front of the grave sites of Former President Nixon and the Former First Lady of the United States and also the benches in front of the Former President's birth home on these grounds adjacent to the memorial site.

Photostory Friday / Japanese Christmas Tree at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Memorial

I enjoyed the many decorated international Christmas trees on display while visiting the Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Memorial yesterday. Each tree was adorned with ornaments significant to each culture. I am posting the tree for "Japan." I recently visited Japan so this one is of special interest to me. Most of the trees were easily identifiable without reading their country origin.

I had a very difficult time getting a clear focus on these photos. Flash photography is not allowed and neither is the use of a tripod (although I didn't have a tripod with me anyway). I am not happy with the sharpness of these photos...but, I am posting them anyway.

SkyWatch Friday / Presidential Helicopter

We visited the Richard Nixon Presidential Library yesterday. It is located in Yorba Linda, California just a few miles from my home. The Presidential Helicopter is a popular exhibit there. Photographs may be taken outside, but, once inside they are not allowed. Please click images to enlarge, especially the sign that tells the story of this aircraft.

The sky was very bright and blue yesterday, following a full day of rain the day before.

Thursday Challenge / Graffiti

My husband and I visited the Richard Nixon Presidential Library today in Yorba Linda, California. This is a piece of the Berlin Wall which is on display there. I have a photo of another piece from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library as well. Both are quite colorful and treasured items of the libraries.
