That's My World Tuesday / Lake Mead, Nevada, USA

Just a VERY small part of Lake Mead, Nevada, USA
So scenic...I could gaze at it all day.
Beautiful anytime of year, but HOT during the summer months!
Please click on photos to enlarge!

These photos were taken along the western shoreline not far from Hoover Dam, Boulder City, Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada.

A few enjoy fishing on this amazingly pleasant Nevada day...
February, 14, 2010. (Valentine's Day)

Some enjoy the tranquility...

take pictures to treasure...

picnic...

check out the marinas...
That's my husband in the black shirt and denim.
I see his shadow, too!
Most of this lake is only accessible by boat.
I have been able to do just that many times during my life.
We would pack up the boat and find a cove and camp for several days.
The water-skiing is superb (when it's not windy).
Ahhh...Lake Mead!

What a beautiful lake! The lake looks like an oasis in a mostly barren place.

Is the water salt or fresh water?

You captured a very good profile of your husband even if you took his back. He is very tall and walks very straight.

I love Lake Mead and Lake Powell. I fly over Lake Mead more than I've been there, but it's SOOOOO blue and pretty, and I love the desert landscape. Great tour!

Thanks for visiting! Beautiful pictures ... your world is so different from mine (with all that snow and cold weather). But about two months the spring is here and the snow has disappeared.

The Nevada lakes are amazing. You would think with all that water there would be some green!
