Carolyn: That is an amazing shot of the sky over the mission. Something we never see here.

Oh, Carolyn! That is "my" mission! I went there with my fourth grade class and my high school performed next to it at the San Gabriel Auditorium! I grew up in Arcadia, which isn't far away. I saw that the bell tower had to be repaired after one of the frequent earthquakes near LA. I took my own two children to visit it and was pleased to see the little miniature missions still there! Thank you for the memories!

These are lovely Skywatch photos! I've always had a fascination with churches (and fancy that, I now work at one!) and always love to see new ones :o)

It reminds me of my days as a schoolgirl in California. We had to learn all about the missions.

Thank you for the award. I was just about to work on that last night when I got a phone call, "where are you, it's ladies game night". Sometimes I think I get too involved with the blogging.

The mission is beautiful. The cross on top seems to be pointing to heaven as the clouds seem to have parted for just enough blue. Nice place sitting under a fair weather cloudy sky...
