Blue Monday / Seagulls At Morro Bay, California

There were a lot of seagulls flying around Morro Rock at Morro Bay. I think they were flying so we would look up and notice the spectacular blue sky!

ABC Wednesday / "S"

ABC Wednesday / "S" is for STUPID!
These photos were taken at Montana de Oro State Park in Morro Bay, California! I think you can see the "stupid" in these images...I hope! This coastline is absolutely unforgiving if you are STUPID! I took this photo because I couldn't believe what I was seeing and I also thought it just might be their last photo ever. I hoped I wouldn't witness a tragedy. Thankfully I didn't. Somehow they got off that rock.

Weekend Reflections / Kayaks at the Embarcadero - Morro Bay, California

These brightly colored kayaks and their reflection distracted me from the sunset at Morro Bay, California 2 weekends ago.

You Capture / Theme is "Sunrise-Sunset"

This photograph was taken while riding in the car along U.S. Highway 1 in Morro Bay, California. I, so, wanted to be on the other side of the rock at this very moment to get closer to it. But, our time line failed me! This is a shot of Morro Rock at sunset with the fog rolling in from the open ocean. It really was a spectacular sight. I wish I could have taken the shot without the movement of the car...

Outdoor Wednesday / Fall Colors in the Grape Vineyards

The fall colors in the grape vineyards were spectacular last week. These photos were taken along U.S. Highway 101 just south of San Luis Obispo, California.

That's My World Tuesday / Eucalyptus Tree Tunnel at Morro Bay, California

This amazing Eucalyptus Tree Tunnel is on the road from Morro Bay to Montana de Oro State Park south of the bay. I would estimate that the tunnel is at least one mile long, perhaps a little more. It's absolutely beautiful and the eucalyptus smells heavenly as you drive along with your windows partially open.

I spotted these very colorful chairs at an ocean front inn in Cambria, California. What a view!

SkyWatch Friday / U.S. Highway 101

These skies were found last Friday along U.S. Highway 101 just south of San Luis Obispo, California. There are some spectacular scenes of the grape vineyards, farming and pasture lands along this route. I took these photos from the car as we made our way farther up the Central Coast of California.

That's My World Tuesday / Wave Action!

One of my favorite things to do is to watch the ocean and the crashing waves...the bigger the better! And even better yet, is to get memorable photographs of the action. This past weekend we were driving south on U.S. Highway 1 near San Simeon, California. We stopped to enjoy this view and I became eager to linger for quite some time. The color of the bluffs, birds, and turbulent waves made for a perfect show! We nearly had the whole scene to ourselves.
