My 2 year old grandson had a great time with some balloons at the park today. Eventually, they got tangled and he broke the ribbon that was tangled around his ankle...you can guess what happened next! I even bought a weight so he wouldn't lose them...who would have thought he would break the ribbon? It turned out that he loved seeing his balloons in the sky...so all is well that ends well!

Believe it or not...we still have some sunflowers around here! I found these in mid-October down around the dairy farms south of where I live in southern California. Some are still blooming in my neighborhood (as I speak, or write this).
This sea lion, at the Los Angeles Zoo, was very entertaining to watch as it cruised by us over and over. We visited the zoo last Thursday and had gorgeous warm weather.
This photo was taken in a residential garden on oceanfront property. (not my property...unfortunately) The white in the background is actually a yacht gliding along in the channel at Balboa, California.
I have no idea what this bush is, but, it was growing along a shady walking path at the Los Angeles Zoo. It is all green except these exquisite white flowers. The flower buds look like little green berries.
