Looking at the Sky on Friday / Full Moon in Smokey Haze

I tried something new, to me, last night. I sat outside with a tripod and played with camera settings to get these nighttime photos of a full moon shrouded with a smokey haze. These are straight out of the camera...no editing. I am looking forward to a clear moonlit sky to see if I can get some "star" action too! I need a lot of practice with technique here!

Carolyn, your shots are exquisite! Wonderful job! You ask me why I don't go walking on the beach in the winter...because it's FREEZING! Our weather is a LOT different than So. Cal. :)

I think you've done an amazing job "practicing". Thanks for sharing it with us. :)

Happy Friday!

They are all beautiful, such depth and light for nighttime. I look forward to seeing more of your "practice".

The smokey air gives the photos a very dramatic look. Very nice.

The little goose is at a local aviary which has birds from all over the world. Many of my photos are from that aviary and the park where it is located.

Have a great holiday weekend,
Judy

Very attractive images!
A tripod is essential for the moon photos at night, isn't it?
Have a great weekend!
