Sepia Scenes #49 / U.S. Marine Base at Camp Pendleton, California









This U.S. Marine was over-seeing the U.S. Navy Hovercraft as it was preparing to move out to the open ocean from the beach at Oceanside, California on September 20, 09.

The sepia camouflage seems a natural on this gentleman. The uniform is reflective of someone who has a sense of duty, who is trained and ready to perform with a competent silence. Who is ready to fight as needed...

I like the sepiatone in this picture. It fits very well with enviroment and soldier's clothing. It looks very natural out

the scene seems so natural in sepia. I imagine that is the way the soldiers feel too. MB

Ralph summed up this shot very well. I was thinking the soldier was looking at you but continued his job without breaking his duty.

Fantastic. Sepia is the perfect tone for this. It captures a moment like a B&W, and it feels better than the blah tans of the sand and khakis.
