Sepia Scenes #49 / U.S. Marine Base at Camp Pendleton, California
This U.S. Marine was over-seeing the U.S. Navy Hovercraft as it was preparing to move out to the open ocean from the beach at Oceanside, California on September 20, 09. To view my post of the Naval Hovercraft click here.
The sepia camouflage seems a natural on this gentleman. The uniform is reflective of someone who has a sense of duty, who is trained and ready to perform with a competent silence. Who is ready to fight as needed...
Ralph summed up this shot very well. I was thinking the soldier was looking at you but continued his job without breaking his duty. Great shot and perfect for the sepia rendering!

Khaki looks so natural in sepia, I was surprised to see "09"! Thanks for stopping by at This Way Thurs-Way :)

I like the sepiatone in this picture. It fits very well with enviroment and soldier's clothing. It looks very natural out
This photo seems so right for sepia even though it's actually a modern one.
Yes, I agree w/ the others, the sepia fits very well w/ his uniform
the scene seems so natural in sepia. I imagine that is the way the soldiers feel too. MB

Great shot and perfect for the sepia rendering!
Fantastic. Sepia is the perfect tone for this. It captures a moment like a B&W, and it feels better than the blah tans of the sand and khakis.
so appropriate.
If you want to wander down my road I’m home.
Perfect in sepia.
Perfect sepia subject and yeah i agree that the khaki turned out well. :)
