Sepia Scenes #46 / Highway 243 Towards Idyllwild

These "drive-by" scenes were taken on Highway 243 toward Idyllwild, California. This area is just west of the Mt. San Jacinto towering over Palm Springs to the east. It's very dry out there and about the same color as "sepia" anyway...

so true, much of the west is naturally sepia, I think the brilliant blue of the sky, the textures in the plants and rocks are what gives it interest.

I was thinking as I looked at the photos that you really didn't have to change much as sepia is normal for the desert. Great photos, I love the curves in the second one.

Love your sepia tone and the photos! We have an airport here that used to be called Idyllwild now it's called LaGuardia. :)
