Mellow Yellow Monday / Chalk Art Festival

Our local community sponsored a chalk Art Festival yesterday (Saturday). It was a beautiful fall day to be outside! The participants ranged in age from elementary school through college and beyond! I was there at 11:00 a.m. and it continued until 3:00. I wish I had had more time to see the completion of some of these, but, I was impressed with what these talented young artists were creating early on. The theme was for the novel, "Call of the Wild." I took many more photos that featured other colors and you will see them in Blue Monday and Ruby Tuesday...once I get them posted. I also have a second post with a lot of blues...you may see it by clicking here. And others here.

Such talent! But amazing that people spend so much time creating art that will wash away.

Chalk art can be amazingly beautiful. I love to see what everyone creates. I really like the 4th picture. What a great pattern created with a simple shape.
