This is a view of the Grand Canyon in the late afternoon from the eastern end...Desert View area. Looking northeast you can get a glimpse of the amazing colors of the Painted Desert. It was an extraordinary day (November 21, 09) of sunshine and cold temperatures...but, beautiful!

I have never seen a bad sky over the Grand Canyon. You captured this one well and also the Painted Desert in the distance. I'll Bet it's cold there now.

Wonderful photo of this beautiful area in the Southwest! The colors are so vivid! Hope you and yours had a lovely Thanksgiving.
