SkyWatch Friday / U.S. Highway 101

These skies were found last Friday along U.S. Highway 101 just south of San Luis Obispo, California. There are some spectacular scenes of the grape vineyards, farming and pasture lands along this route. I took these photos from the car as we made our way farther up the Central Coast of California.

The rolling hills look velvety in the distance and in the shadows.

Beautiful scenery , Carolyn. I never thought of California as farming and pasture lands.

Gorgeous skies!
I just watched a show last night on HGTV of a couple looking for a weekend home overlooking vineyards. It's beautiful country.

I drove down that highway from San Francisco to Carmel once and it is totally incredible. Thanks for giving me another glimpse of that beautiful countryside. Dianne
