Today's Flowers #66 / Aloe on the Bluff at Ragged Point, California








The edge of the very scenic bluffs at Ragged Point, California are home to lots and lots of Aloe plants. The bright orange flowers are an amazing contrast to the blue sky and ocean beyond!

I have never seen this flower before! Only a small white one on another aloe. This is simply gorgeous!

I've never seen aloe bloom like that, almost like a torch lily. Bottom photo is my fave. Wonderful!

I have an aloe houseplant, but have never seen one growing in the wild. Nor have I seen its beautiful flowers. Wonderful pictures of a very special plant!

Also, fabulous pictures of the handsome pelican.

I have seen these spikes reaching to the sky while visiting Arizona!
They are stunning to see up close and personal!! Love these blossoms as much as I love the aloe plant!

Beautiful blooms, but like most of the others I have never seen aloe bloom that way before. I must be down south at the wrong time of the year.
