Another bench with a lovely view at the Desert View area of the Grand Canyon. It is actually perched on the outdoor viewing area of the Watch Tower there. The second bench is inside the Watch Tower at the lower level, which is actually a gift shop. I could enjoy a nice fire to warm up there! The winter winds can really whip up some chilly temps on the rim! The lower photos show the tower and a description of it. It is literally sitting right on the edge of the rim. The view from the upper levels is breathtaking!

Benches of the Week

Looking out over the rim I can well imagine the need for a bench to sit on :-) - the view is not for the faint of heart and people with fear of heights. And the design of those benches fitted in well with the rest of the tower.
This reminded me of visiting there in 2004. It was one of my long-cherished dreams to visit there.
