Sunday Stills, Blue Monday, Midweek Blues, Ruby Tuesday / Sea Dragon

I like this whimsical Sea Dragon at Seaport Village in San Diego, CA.
He's perched along the waterfront and displays some real attitude!
I had fun photographing him from different perspectives and magically turning him to black and white (in my previous post).

Sunday Stills
The theme is metal.

Looks more like a painting than a metal sculpture!

That's a very cool shot of the dragon! I saw your Redlands library photo, too. It caught my attention because I attended the University of Redlands way back in 1968-69 :0)

Whimsical, indeed! He is imposing, which catches our attention. Big, but almost happy-go-lucky, a monster in looks only. Those red wings are, shall we say, anti-monster, perhaps cute appendages. Nice and fun!

hope he's a friendly one.

He is very menacing-looking in this photo. I went back and looked at your black and white and he seems more whimsical there. Great post!

Dianne said...

Kathy is right, he seems friendlier in black and white
isn't that odd

I love both shots

Finally making the rounds of Sunday Stills - love this dragon looking down his nose at everyone (especially the photographer!)

He looks like he is ready to spout water! That would not be a good thing for photographers!
