That's My World Tuesday / Some Artists to Meet

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this past weekend at the Southwest Art Festival in Indio, California.
I had a fabulous time with my camera!
I have posted several art pieces that caught my eye and have so much more to post over the days to come.  Meeting some of the artists was very special.
I am posting some of them at work with their craft on this post.

This little girl enjoyed watching this artist for quite a long time.

We were so amazed at the beautiful photography displayed here.
The photographer, Youssef Ismail, is from northern California and hosts weekend photo trips to breath taking places.
I thought this camera was just an "old" camera on display for historical purposes.
I was wrong!
This camera belongs to the photographer and is used exclusively.
 No digital for this photographer!

I have his card and website link just in case I decide to go on one of the weekend trips.
   Youssef Ismail's website is: http://www.organiclightphoto.com/
The photography on this website is breath-taking and well worth a visit!
He joked about people spending more time photographing him with this camera than taking their own photographs of the amazing landscape before them!

And, this man!
Wow!
What hauntingly beautiful sounds came from this flute...
which he crafts himself.

I enjoy going to arts and crafts festivals. The paintings are beautiful. I find myself taking photographs of people painting too.

Carolyn: Great captures at the show, those old cameras can still capture the magic.

One of my favorite places to spend a day (besides the beach, of course) photographing artists at work. Great captures, Carolyn.

What great shots at the festival. What is that green stuff all over the ground there? It seems vaguely familiar but I haven't seen it in so long I just can't remember. I'll be back more often now, instead of just for Photohunter. Thanks for visiting and your kind comments.

Looks like you and Jerry had a great time at the Art Festival. Isnt it hard to photograph people in such places?

Hello Carolyn,

Some how I found the photo you made of me at the Southwest Arts Festival standing with my camera. Thanks! But hey, post the link to my site so others may enjoy the photographs made with that "old" camera. I am glad you enjoyed the show, hopefully we will see you there again next year, if I don't see you sooner in one of my classes.
