Camera Critters #73

My little grandson loved discovering this duck as we took a late afternoon walk around a fishing pond at Silent Valley, California. It was a rather hot day and a rather hot walk but we found some ice-cream for a cool treat...

Lovely photo with the late afternoon sun on the water behind your well-camouflaged subject.

We see wild ducks in winter in our area, but I have not taken any close-up picture of them yet. What kind of lense did you use?

I used an 18mm-55mm lens...I would have preferred to use my 60mm but I didn't have it with me on this walk.
