SkyWatch Friday / Presidential Helicopter

We visited the Richard Nixon Presidential Library yesterday. It is located in Yorba Linda, California just a few miles from my home. The Presidential Helicopter is a popular exhibit there. Photographs may be taken outside, but, once inside they are not allowed. Please click images to enlarge, especially the sign that tells the story of this aircraft.

The sky was very bright and blue yesterday, following a full day of rain the day before.

Interesting, I didn't realize that you could find such things at a presidential library. We lived near the Reagan Library for years but never visited.

Nice pictures. I love helicopters. I wonder why they won't let you take interior shots?

Hi Carolyn, another addition to my list of "gems to visit". I have read about it and I did not expect it to be this pretty. I think there is free admission during one of the Holidays. hehehe, I better make use of that.

P.S. There is another Carolyn USA in the Skywatch link.

Super post Carolyn!
I was with my Hubs at the Pentagon many years ago and we saw the Presidents helicopter.
I got chills reading that his chair in the cabin is as he left it.

Marvelous views! One of these days I'm going to get myself over to the Nixon Library myself. I’m participating twice this week:
Vistas after Monday's Storm
Clear Southern California Skies
Hugs and blessings,
