The back-side of the Cedar Springs Dam at Silverwood Lake is covered in rocks.
I noticed a red spiky bush along the fence bordering the dam, which is 3350 feet in elevation.

Nice photo! It seems that the news stations always have brush fire in California to talk about. This would be one spot that cannot burn.
